25 YEARS SENIOR LEADERSHIP
ONTARIO. CANADA. NORTH AMERICA

After 25 years running organizations, leading teams, and carrying the kind of workload that never fully switches off - I knew exactly what it felt like to be capable, experienced, and still not able to move the work that mattered most to me.
I wasn't looking for a productivity hack. I'd tried all of those. The planners, the apps, the systems, the fresh starts on monday morning.
Nothing stuck - and the fact that nothing stuck made it worse, because I knew I was smart enough. I knew I was capable. So why wasn't it working?
That question sent me deep into research and training and education. Into ADHD. Into executive function. Into how we actually think, process and approach our work - and why the gap between knowing what to do and actually doing it isn't a discipline problem. It's a design problem.
What I found changed how I understood myself. And it changed how I work with every client since.
We are remarkably good at complicating this. We layer solution on top of solution. We compare ourselves to how other people work. We add more - more tools, more structure, more pressure - when what we actually need is less. Black to Basics was born from that realization. That the sophisticated move is to strip back. To get quiet enough to actually understand how you work and think. To stop outsourcing your focus to a system that was never built for your brain in the first place.
And one more thing I've learned from every client I've worked with: the person who's overwhelmed at work is almost never "just dandy" at home. The spillover is real. This work isn't just about your inbox. It's about your life.

SHARI BLACK - BLACK TO BASICS

I live outside Ottawa in a small town - which suits me. I'm outdoors as much as possible, hiking, adventuring, exploring. I travel whenever I can. I'm active, curious and genuinely bad at sitting still.
I have two awesome daughters and a dog named Riley who has absolutely no issues with follow through when there's a walk involved.
I'm not about perfection. never have been. I'm about that 1% of incremental change - showing up consistently, making it sustainable, and actually enjoying the process. That philosophy lives within the work I do with clients.
Small town Ontario. Serving professionals and entrepreneurs across North America virtually.
Hiking, adventuring, travelling, exploring. Dog mom to Riley. Proud mom to two daughters. Professional organizer for kicks.
Not perfection - 1% incremental change, consistency and having fun along the way.
